Many general questions have been covered within the UltraHDMI FAQ section. For any questions not covered within the FAQ please contact BadAss Support via email.

UltraHDMI is designed to connect to modern TVs and monitors. It generates several different resolutions, and like all the other options, can be configured with the on-screen menu.

  • 480p60, 480i60
  • 576p50, 576i50
  • 720p60, 50
  • 1080p60, 50
  • Audio: 48KHz, 16bit PCM

All the settings are configurable with an on-screen menu overlay that can be accessed during a game with a button combo.

Every aspect of operation is fully configurable. Just want to play games? It works fine from the get go. Power users can tweak every setting to their liking.

Optionally, it can apply a set of retro filters to make it "feel" more like a tube TV: scanline bleed, nonlinear brightness curve, HV anode sag...

You can turn off all the processing for a zero-delay signal with less than 100 nanoseconds of lag. Otherwise, latency averages 1 frame (16ms).

 Details:

UltraHDMI is sold by Retroactive only to installers due to the nature of its design which incorporates flexible PCB soldered directly to the pins on N64's Reality Co-Processor (RCP). Therefore, it is the responsibility of all installers to ensure a safe and proper console installation is performed. Please note: UltraHDMI requires use of a MiniHDMI cable which you must provide.

By purchasing this service, You, "The Buyer," will ship your N64 "console only" in fully functional working condition to BadAss Consoles and also pay the return shipping charge. You will receive an email shortly after purchase with information on where to ship your console.

BadAss Consoles, "The Seller," will provide the UltraHDMI KIT, perform pre-installation testing of your console, perform high quality precision installation, and perform post-installation certification testing.
